Twitter - Love It or Hate It

The latest in social networking is a bit easier to use than the average myspace, facebook, or friendster. It’s called Twitter and even though it is a very basic structure, I have grown very attached to it and I hope that it grows much larger than it even already is. Here’s a general rundown of how it works.
Simply you sign up to Twitter, pick your username, password, etc. When you first login it will ask you to put your email account and yoru emails password. Don’t fret about this, it will actually benefit you in the long run. They do not store your information and have no traces of it after this page. What this does is it looks through your contacts to see if any of your friends have twitter, and if they do, it adds them to your “follow” list.
Calm down, I know your still wondering what Twitter actually does. Basically, Twitter is your mini blog. Except posting about big issues, you post about what your eating for breakfast, literally. Twitter gives you 140 chars to describe what you are currently doing, and lets you post it for everyone who is “following you”. This lets your friends, family members, and co-workers know what you are doing, at any given time. IT seems very tedious and boring but actually, it is a great way to communicate with anyone, even your users(hint hint).
They also have a feature where you can add your cell phone number and update your recent happenings just by sending a single text message to their number, and it updates almost instantly! This is a very easy feature to use and I had it set up within 5 minutes, and I am very glad I did, I like letting people know what I am doing. It keeps me active in my community and lets my users know what my real life is like.
Twitter seems to be the next big rising thing and if you start early, you could start a huge community with almost no effort! If you would like to follow my actions and see how I am every day, just click here to sign up to twitter and follow me!

I joined Twitter a couple of months ago. I like it and find it interesting, but I just can’t keep up. My posts of ‘eating breakfast’ or ‘going to the gym’ stay up for a loooong time.

There’s too many social networking sites that I’m on, I don’t think I could handle one more!!
It’s kinda like the ’status’ field in Facebook, except that Twitter specializes in only that. The site is adorable, though.
