Well I figure in order to learn to make money online, perhaps you would need an example. I will be telling a bit of my story, and how I made it to where I am today. This may take a few days of posting so bear with me.

I was 15 and started out doing what I loved to do, play games online.I first started out in Yahoo! Pool. I’m sure many of you have played a game or two there. I began to participate in “Leagues” and soon become a tournament director. This is where I learned my first bit of HTML coding, by making the tournament pages, colors, images, etc. Some issues then arose in the league and I chose to leave and go elsewhere.

I then came across an online Text-Based RPG named Torn City. Torn city was and still is a great game, with a HUGE player base. Although as a new player it is very hard to get anywhere, as all the old members are so far ahead of you. Many people thought this, so one person decided to do the impossible, make a new Torn City. A certain player named “Dabomstew” then created his new Torn City knock-off, MonoCountry. While the name seems a bit drag the game was generally fun and the people were great. After a while myself and Enigma grew bored of the game, and wanted our own. We eventually convinced the owner(Dabomstew) to give us a copy of the site to run ourselves. Neither of us had any prior knowledge in coding, and at only 15 and 16 years of age it seemed impossible. Eventually after fiddling with it long enough, we began to learn, and that’s when the fun began…

We then began our first project, a Text-Based RPG called The Crews Of LA(no longer in existance). We took an exceptionally long time to create the game and because of this, it failed. Our members waited and waited and we never delivered, so they gradually all left.

By this time the original owner of the codes(Dabomstew) had released his codes for purchase. This meant that everyone now had a copy of the same script that we did, so we were nothing special. Luckily, this opened a whole new market for us, we now created add-ons(mods) to this code that people could purchase. We created new features, new parts of the administration panel and anything you could think of. Enigma then branched off and made his own new game, while I stayed and made these “mods”. After I had made 20-30 mods that people bought regularly, I made a website and sold them all there. This is how Titan Gaming Media was created, and profitted nearly $3,000, while I was still only 15-16.

After a while my creations were being passed around like candy, and no one purchased them anymore. Because of this I had to find a new beginning, a better niché to bring in money, as this one was dead. That’s when Enigma and I stumbled across a great idea, one that was new, and innovative….
